Harper’s BAZAAR joined forces with THE OUTNET.COM and The Museum of Modern Art
for two events to celebrate Items: Is Fashion Modern?, the museum’s first fashion exhibit in over 70 years. On October 12, VIPs and influencers took a private tour of the exhibit, before enjoying a seated dinner at The Modern hosted by BAZAAR Accessories Director Amanda Alagem and Andres Sosa, EVP–Sales, Marketing and Creative at THE OUTNET. On November 9, MoMA Curatorial Assistant Stephanie Kramer led a private tour for the museum’s junior associates, and guests were treated to passed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails with BAZAAR Style Director Joanna Hillman, Fashion Director Nicole Fritton, and Andres Sosa.


Major Blowout

Everyone loves a good party, and lucky for us, October offered plenty of milestone anniversaries. Harper’s BAZAAR, 150 years young, teamed up with Dyson at South Coast Plaza, which was celebrating its 50th birthday as the country’s premier luxury shopping center. Throughout the day, invited guests enjoyed a customized blowout with the Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer at the Aveda Richard Michael Salon. That evening, Harper’s BAZAAR Executive Fashion & Beauty Editor Avril Graham hosted South Coast Plaza’s fall fashion show, after which guests received blowouts with the Dyson Supersonic at “The BAZAAR Blowout” styling station.
